Roaming charges that were charged to my phone that should not have been. This went on with the hotspot over a period of 3 to 4 months.
In 2013 my wife and I were cell phone customers of Alltel. At first, when they replace it, this went on for 2 more months: "No service", "No service", "No service", "The tower is not near you", so I ask them to cancel the service before my bill gets sky high.
I told them that they could cancel my contract and I in no uncertain terms was going to pay them these fees they then informed me that I would be charged an early cancellation fees as well as the ROAMING fees. They said I would have to contact AT&T after trying several times. Like I said I had been a loyal customer for over 20 years both in business and personal phones. Everyone I called they said the service would get better once at&t takes over. When I went to the service center about my hotspot performance, stupid, yeah. When my brother and I tried to return their faulty equipment, they said we couldn't even though my services wasn't working properly and they charge me at first 0.00.
Again I let them know that this was not going to happen, so now it is 2017, 4 years later and have not heard anything from these jerks until today () and they send me a NOTICE OF COLLECTION from a company named AFNI out of Bolingbrook IL which basically states that they intend to take legal action to recoup these fees. so my question is has anyone out there experienced the same problem and is there an attorney that would like to bring up a lawsuit against these idiots? My next step is to send this to the BBB and the ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR CONSUMER AFFAIRS. They asked me to pick my phones from an inferior phone that I had. Alltel sent me my final bill .98 for part of the month used and Then 0.00 for early termination of contract. Now, since I don't have the service, they are charging me 1,440.00 for equipment and billing.
On May 8, 2009, AT&T announced it would acquire 79 of the divested wireless properties, including licenses, network assets, and 1.5 million current subscribers, primarily in rural areas across 18 states.
On September 20, 2013, AT&T announced they had completed the acquisition of Alltel from Atlantic Tele-Network.
